Childcare Facility Scores
The Jefferson County Department of Health regularly inspects childcare facilities to protect the health and safety of children. Two types of inspections are conducted throughout the year: scored and alternative (non-scored). During a scored inspection, the facility is graded on a 100-point scale and receives a numerical score upon completion.
