Water Quality

Public water may be sampled upon request or sample kits may be picked up at JCDH. Samples are routinely tested for E. coli and coliform bacteria. Samples are to be submitted to the Department Monday through Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Samples must be received by the Alabama State Lab within 36 hours of collection.

Public Facilities

Schools, prisons and jails are inspected annually for structural soundness and required sanitary practices.
