The Jefferson County Department of Health will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025 in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 7:45am.

Quality Improvement and Decision Support (QIDS)

The Division of QIDS:

  • Manages internal quality improvement activities, plans and processes
  • Develops and monitors the Community Health Assessment (CHA) and the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) for Jefferson County, Alabama
  • Facilitates the CHA and CHIP improvement activities
  • Coordinates JCDH’s activities within the Health Action Partnership (HAP) of Jefferson County, Alabama
  • Supports Public Health decision making through data policy analysis and information dissemination
  • Provides basic statistics for the Annual Report

Hours of Operation:
All Centers are open 7:45am to 4:30pm. Phone lines for clinic appointments open at 7:00am Monday through Friday.
