WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Opportunity

JCDH is looking for a Breastfeeding Peer counselor for a part-time position with WIC. A WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor is a paraprofessional support person who gives basic breastfeeding information, education, support, and encouragement to pregnant and breastfeeding WIC mothers.


We are looking for:
1. Someone who has breastfed at least one baby
2. Is enthusiastic about breastfeeding and wants to help other mothers enjoy a positive experience
3. Is able to work as part of a team
4. Has availability to work 15-20 hours per week at one of our Jefferson County WIC Clinics during the hours of 7:45am-4:30pm
5. Has a High School Diploma or GED

Hours of Operation:
All Centers are open 7:45am to 4:30pm. Phone lines for clinic appointments open at 7:00am Monday through Friday.
