March is National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month is an annual campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. During the month of March, everyone is invited to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrate a World of Flavors’. During March, we are encouraging everyone to 1. Eat a variety of nutritious foods, 2. See a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for any nutrition related counseling, 3. Make weekly plans to incorporate healthy foods into your meals and snacks, 4. Create tasty meals at home by trying new foods and flavors from around the world.

March 9th is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day

In 2022, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day on Wednesday, March 9. As the nation's food and nutrition experts, registered dietitian nutritionists are committed to improving the health of their patients, clients and communities. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day and National Nutrition Month promote the Academy and RDNs to the public and the media as the most valuable and credible source of timely, scientifically-based food and nutrition information.
