Jefferson County
Department of Health is celebrating National Dental Hygiene Month in October. Oral health is essential for not just
smiling, speaking, and chewing, but to general health and well-being.
By age one, infants
should have their first dental exam for early problem detection and important oral
health education that will benefit the entire family.
JCDH reminds you to
brush twice daily, floss at least once a day, and choose a well-balanced, healthy
diet, minimizing sugary foods and drinks.
Each of our three dental
clinics accepts patients aged 20 and under. We accept Medicaid and Allkids and treat non-insured Jefferson County
residents who meet age restrictions and federal poverty guidelines. Please call 205-588-5234 for more information.
