Lauren Sisler, an award-winning sports broadcaster for ESPN and SEC Network and host at, will moderate this discussion, as well as share how substance use disorder has impacted her life. The audience is encouraged to submit their own questions throughout the event.

Dr. Jerome Adams is the 20th U.S. Surgeon General, a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s opioid task force, Indiana’s former State Health Commissioner, and a brother to someone with substance use disorder. Dr. Adams grew up poor and Black in a Southern rural community, and went on to become “America’s Doctor”, committed to fighting issues that his own family and community experienced.
