27.C Provide playground equipment that is age appropriate, properly installed, maintained in good repair, and properly anchored if non-portable equipment (See Appendix C and the most current publication of the “Handbook for Public Playground Safety”).
23.C.1 Limit screen time to no more than a total of two and a half hours per week, per child, and limit computer use to no more than 15 minute increments. 3.C.1 Offer screen time, including television, videos, video games, & computer usage, only as a free-choice activity for children 2 years and older, and prohibit during meal or snack time & for infants and toddlers younger than 2 years. A video played the entire time of the inspection for both the daycare and kitchen. The children and staff even stated that they had also watched videos yesterday.
23.D.5 Serve an orange vegetable (e.g. carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash, pumpkin), a dark, cut, leafy green vegetable (e.g. broccoli, spinach, lettuce, greens), and a legume (e.g. pinto beans, kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas, tofu) at least once per week. Missing a dark, cut, leafy green on menus.
214.C.5 Keep on file an emergency operations plan addressing: course of action in the event of a fire, severe weather (earthquake, flooding, hurricane, ice/snowstorm, thunderstorm warnings & watches, tornado warnings & watches), serious accident or injury, power failure, loss of gas & water supply & security threat (active shooter, bomb, individuals under the influence, shelter in place, violent individuals), including evacuation and lockdown procedures, as well as parent notification protocols, and make readily available for review by parents, staff, and the Health Officer.
